We’re back for a week of Betfred Championship action, and here’s what’s coming up in Round 3…
Two of the league’s heavyweights Toulouse and Bradford Bulls will go head-to-head in the south of France on Saturday.
They last faced each other back in the October semi-finals, with just an Eloi Pelissier drop goal eventually separating the two sides.
The Bulls will undoubtedly be out for revenge after this heartbreaking defeat, but can they continue their perfect start in 2025?
All three of their meetings last season were excruciatingly close – a 21-20 scoreline in the semi at Stade Ernest Wallon, a 12-12 draw midway through the year, and a 19-12 Bradford victory at Bartercard Odsal.
It’s always a blistering battle between the two, but who will emerge victorious in Round 3?
On Sunday, Oldham will also look to continue their winning start when they travel to face Barrow Raiders.
The sides have already met once this year in the Third Round of the Betfred Challenge Cup, with the Roughyeds claiming a comprehensive 42-4 victory.
How will Sean Long’s men fare over in Cumbria?
Batley Bulldogs are in action against Widnes Vikings this weekend. The Bulldogs pushed Bradford all the way in the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup last Sunday and are currently unbeaten in the league thus far.
Widnes are also yet to taste defeat in the 2025 Championship, and as usual, whenever these two teams play, we should expect a fierce contest.
Hunslet and Doncaster then come up against each other for the first time since 2023 – back when they were competing in League One. They have both been promoted since, however, and are now searching for their first wins in the Championship.
Elsewhere, there are two tasty Yorkshire derbies rolling out on Sunday afternoon.
Featherstone Rovers will host Sheffield Eagles, whilst York Knights welcome a high-flying Halifax Panthers.
